The boys and I are making our first ever STRAW BALE VEGETABLE GARDEN.   I am making lots of long distance phone calls to my Mom, who has been helping me out each step of the way.  I have been known to not water my flowers, so this is a big deal for me.  I am determined to keep this going and enjoy fresh, organic vegetables all summer long!  We planted heirloom tomatoes, swiss chard, eggplants, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers.  For those of you interested in what exactly a straw bale garden is--here are some pictures so you get an idea.  Wish me luck and stay tuned...
