A true miracle. |St. Louis Children's Photographer

I am so behind in blog posts...I apologize.  I was a little busy this weekend with something very special.  Yesterday was the 4th annual MARIKLE FOUNDATION golf tournament.  The Marikle Foundation was started after one of my "best friends in the whole world" (how her daughter announces me when I call her on the phone) daughter, Marik, was diagnosed with cancer and had a heart transplant.  We started this foundation to honor Marik, who truly is a "marikle".  You can read more about Marik and the foundation here.  Anyways, it was an amazing day!  Thank you to everyone involved for making it another successful event!  By the way, this is Marik today.  A beautiful, happy,  healthy 13 year old!

My first official tea party. |St. Louis Children's Photographer

Today I had a great time with Audrey.  She invited me inside her secret home tucked away in the yard of her grandmother's house.  She offered me tea, cupcakes and soup...but I must not eat it all at once.  This is really amusing you see, because again, I have 2 boys.  Two boys that don't sit still for anything, love it when I make fart sounds, and everything is a race with a winner and loser.  So to sit down and be waited on was a treat. 3 things I know for sure about girls... #1.  They can multi-task at a very early age.  #2.  They have amazing attention spans and patience.  #3.  They are in charge.

Poop. yep, i said it. |St. Louis Children's Photographer

Catching up a little on my blog posts... This has become an annual event with these two.  Always very handsome and very entertaining :).   3 things i know for sure about boys.  #1.  Boys can not stay still...for any amount of time.   #2.  They all think potty talk is the funniest thing ever.  #3.  If you make anything (like a photo shoot) a competition, they will cooperate.     And I am a proud mother of two of them.

Pray for Simon. |St. Louis Baby Photographer

Today I was honored to meet Simon.  Simon was born with a large hole in his heart (ventrical septal defect), and an abnormally formed bicuspid aortic valve (coarctation of the heart). The family also learned shortly after birth that Simon has Trisomy 18.  It was with a heavy heart that I was able to document these days for his family.   Please pray for Simon.
